WRITER AT LARGE
I'm delighted to say that "Flesh Wounds" is finally out where people can read it. Well, people who use Windows, anyway, but at least that's something. Well, more than something because it's the format on this eBook that's really fascinating. Fascinates me, anyway. What they've cooked up (and I was the guinea pig for) is not exactly new technology, but I don't think anybody's applied it to literature before.
You download a file and click on it
Anyway, click on FLESH WOUNDS on my "Titles" tab--it leads to the Adoro site for more info...and purchase opportunity. The wisdom of ages (well, decades, anyway) for under five bucks.

(and your computer has a cow because it's an exe file (like that's the only dangerous kind of file in the world) and it opens up into something that's part eBook, part website, part blog. It works really well with the short pieces that comprise FLESH WOUNDS (not only the weekly stuff from the Nineties, but a lot of longer pieces from The Stranger, SD Reader, Express, Revolt, and such). I have to agree with Adoro's hype about the great "marriage of format and content", the two work together really well and it looks like my poem collection ENGINES OF DESIRE will be next to get the treatment. So it might not be a marriage, but at least it's not a one-night stand. Not sure how well this would work for a novel, but I have a feeling we're going to find out.
