FROM CABO BEACHES TO THE SIERRA MADRE

FOR YOUR DAMNED LOVE is a suspense “anti-romance” set entirely in Mexico, from the poverty of a Guadalajara orphanhood to jet-set beaches in Cabo and Vallarta, to the narco-cartel strongholds and plantations in the remote mountains of Jalisco and Nayarit.

A beautiful heiress–of the U.S. drug czar–is kidnapped by a major legend among Mexican drug lords and flown off in his private jet to his stronghold in the mountains.

Her father enlists the help of an ex-soldier/mercenary to bring her back.

Who in turn signs up a young Mexican journalist.

Their trek through a network of the powerful, no-good, and debauched to fine her is one story, and as much about the current state of Mexican culture, politics, and crime as anything else.

Her “going native” and glorying in guns, crimes and outlaw romance is another. From the arrogant kingpin, to the earnest young fighter, to the jaded hired killer who “rescues” her from taking over the gang, she seems to have the knack of bringing death to every man who has her.

And yes, the title is stolen outright from Vicente Fernandez’ monster hit, “Por Tu Maldito Amor”.
